This was the first picture I captured with my new Casio digital camera. Running around with my new toy, I headed outside to enjoy a gorgeous summer day.
The sun was warm, the breeze was giving me a rare break, and due in part to an unusually wet winter, our house was adorned with a wonderful wild flower skirt. One of the more prominent varieties were hundreds and hundreds of 3-4' tall sunflowers such as this one.
In general, I'm partial to macro shots of just about anything, so this flower was a good find and first test. Check out the 'original' size if you can wait for the download; amazing detail for me just holding the camera in front of the free standing flower without a tripod. I think my first shot turned out to be beginners luck.
